As the school year comes to a close let us highlight all the amazing achievements that have happened throughout the year. Many sports teams have attended districts, regionals and even state championships, coming out to an amazing 23-24 sports season for the Warriors.
Competition Cheer went to state and received a score of 83.8. This put them in 1st beating 2nd place by 2 points. They were also the regional runner up and metro runner up.
The Girls swim team also had a successful season. They qualified for states and received 6th place overall.
Girls Weightlifting had an undefeated regular season and was district runner up. There were 4 girls on the team that went to state. Maggie Scott (12) finished 10th overall at state was also the metro, district and regional champion of her weight class. Hailey Seymour (12) finished 14th overall at state and was also metro, and district champion. Katie Eversen (12) finished 16th overall at state and was also metro and district champion. Last but not least Olivia Fountain (12) finished 20th overall at state rounding out to a very successful season for the girls weightlifting team.
Color Guard competed at state and placed 3rd competing against 24 other guards. This was their first season in the AA classification which means the guard had to learn a multitude of new skills and techniques. They also took home 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place trophies at regionals.
Boys Golf also went to state. Shawn Coultoff (12) qualified and competed against 96 golfers in the tournament. He ended up placing 16th overall in a tie. He also tied for 4th place at regionals among 71 golfers.
Boys soccer had a very successful season making it all the way to state. They won the District Championship against Ocoee through penalty kicks. Later at the Regional Championship they won 5-1 against West Port, then 2-0 against Creekside and in the finals scored 3-2 against an undefeated second-ranked Mandarin team with Finlay Prain (12) and Nikolas Sirois (12) scoring late into the game winning the regional tournament.
At State Semi-Finals they were matched against Doral Academy and won 3-1 with goals from Jacob Bignon (12), Prain, and Rafael Tomirotte (10). At the State Championship against Boca Raton they dominated the 2nd half yet lost 2-1. But they still had a very successful season with wins against many high ranking teams. Both Prain and Bignon were named Very Prestigious All-State team, and Prain, Dylan Shuffield (12) and JP Disheinger (12) named Orange-Seminal All Star team. Prain was also named Orlando Sentinel All Area First Team and Bignon named to the Second Team.
Many teams throughout the school had very successful seasons, showing just how talented and hardworking they are. The spring season is coming to an end with many teams starting to near their district, regional, and state competitions. There are many state title holding students throughout the school hiding in plain sight, so be aware of their accomplishments of the 23-24 season.
