Senior Assassin is becoming a staple Senior tradition here at West Orange. The game was organized and run by senior admins so it is not affiliated with WOHS. Players are assigned targets and
work with partners to eliminate them with water guns while avoiding being eliminated themselves by wearing goggles or floaties.
One of my favorite parts of the game is strategizing with my partner and planning out where and when we will try to get our targets. “I love the adrenaline rush i got going for my first elimination,” Senior,

Kaley Quayel (12) said. I love how interactive and engaging it is to come up with creative strategies. The constant need to stay alert and remember to wear your goggles keeps the game competitive and adds to the overall excitement.
Since this is one of the newer Senior events, there have been some issues. Because it is managed by seniors who are also playing, there have been complaints about which eliminations count and which do not. The rules have not been as clear as they should be, which has caused confusion and arguments between players and especially towards admins.
Splashin Premium was also another issue. On the app
we use for the game, (Splashin) there is a way to buy a premium subscription which makes it possible to see other players locations, making it easier to figure out who your assassin is. I feel like this feature made the game way less fun removing the ability to be sneaky because staying out of sight w
as pointless as players would just know who was trying to get them by checking the map. Luckily at the start of the second round this was changed. Players got new targe
ts, and premium now only shows the live location of their assigned target instead of
everyone on the map. This has helped bring back the suspense and make the game balanced.
Senior Assassin earns a four because it is fun, exciting and brings students together, especially through teamwork and strategy. However, it loses a point due to unclear rules and early issues with how the game was set up.
Overall, Senior Assassin has been the funnest senior activity I’ve taken part of all year and I can’t wait to keep playing and surviving.
