Ian Thomas, a 12th grade student, has made a name for himself through his dedication to soccer and leadership both
on and off the field. As a team captain of his club, Thomas has developed not only his athletic skills but also his ability to guide and support others.
Thomas has been involved in soccer for most of his life, which played a major role in shaping his future goals. “I’ve played soccer for most of my life and I want to pursue a professional career in the future,” Thomas said. His long term commitment to the sport shows his dedication and passion for the game.
As captain Thomas has taken on the responsibility. He also volunteers at his local church, showing leadership beyond
athletics. One of his proudest accomplishments came this season when his team earned national recognition. “Being recognized as the 13th best team in the country this season,” Thomas said, was especially meaningful to him.
Through his experiences, Thomas has learned valuable lessons about working with others. “Teamwork has taught me
how to tackle challenges and problems even if you and your coworkers or teammates don’t agree,” he said. This mindset
has helped him grow as both a player and a leader.
Looking ahead, Thomas hopes to continue pursuing soccer at a higher level and work toward his goal of becoming a
professional athlete. With his strong work ethic and leadership skills, he is on his way to success.
